Valideus is a new company formed to assist intellectual property owners, law firms and public agencies including city authorities to understand and to benefit from the new gTLD process.
In the first application round, Valideus aims to support up to 15 Private Brand Registries designed for use by employees and licensees and five Public Brand Registries, which are open to end-user registrants.
Potential applicants are contracting with us for three core services:
- To advise them on the impact of the new gTLDs on their business and the feasibility of applying
- To project manage an application
- To run a gTLD registry for them on an outsource basis
We will work as your trusted partner assisting you:
- To understand the impact of the new gTLD process on your business – what it will mean when you and / or your competitors leave .com behind and appear directly in the browser.
- To select an eligible character string that stands the best chance of being approved: this could be the name of your company, a leading brand or even a descriptive term.
- To interpret ICANN’s development of the policies and process that will govern the launch of the new gTLDs.
- To understand the competitive landscape: who else might apply in your sector; who might object to the character strings you prefer.
- To prepare and refine an application designed to exceed the expectations of the ICANN evaluators.
- To prosecute your application with the ICANN new gTLD staff and evaluators, overcoming objections. This may require the involvement of your legal counsel.
- Once your application is approved, we will manage the transition to delegation and ensure that your domain is added securely to the World Root of the internet.
- To manage your own gTLD registry: we have an outsource solution that exceeds all published ICANN requirements featuring state of the art software, a stable and secure infrastructure and a magnificent team of engineers, developers and operations staff to ensure your gTLD functions 24/7 and any issues you have are resolved in a timely fashion
- To provide you with expert support to ensure that you meet the considerable requirements of the ICANN compliance programme.
